Documents are encrypted on your device with your master password. We don't operate a server holding your vault. If you enable cloud backup, an encrypted copy goes to your own iCloud Drive or Google Drive account.
We can't recover a forgotten master password. Keep it safe and check your encrypted backups in iCloud, Google Drive or Files so you can restore your vault if your phone is lost.

Are my documents stored only on my phone?
Yes. Documents are encrypted and stored on your device. Proof Pocket has no account system and no server that holds your files. You decide if and where an encrypted backup goes.
What happens if I lose my phone?
Your vault is encrypted, so a lost phone doesn't expose your documents. If you've made an encrypted backup to iCloud, Google Drive or Files, restore it on your new phone with your master password.
How do I move my documents to a new phone?
Use Export Account: scan a QR code with the new phone and your vault transfers directly between the two devices over the same Wi-Fi network. Or restore from an encrypted backup file.
What if I forget my master password?
We can't recover it — that's what keeps your vault private. Choose a password you'll remember and enable Face ID or Touch ID for everyday unlocking.
Can I share documents with someone?
Yes. Group documents into a case and send it as a password-protected .ppcase file (Pro). Anyone with Proof Pocket can import a shared case for free.
What documents can I store?
Anything you can scan, photograph or save as a PDF: passports, ID cards, driving licences, insurance cards, contracts, medical records, tickets and receipts.
